Steps where seats will be situated: Total of 9000 linear metres (about 6 miles) of steps.3000m3 of concrete in the steps and another 2500m3 elsewhere on the job.The blue forms that you see in the pictures were made one-off to our specific design, which allowed for the chamfer at the top to be adjusted vertically, as the steps actually increase in height as they go up the terracing, so that they all appear the same height from pitch level.Approximately 150 metres of step poured every day.All steps received a power-floated finish using a specially adapted power float that allowed us to finish right up to the front and back of the steps.

LASER CIVIL ENGINEERING

“E P Hayes worked for us on the installation of the retaining walls on our Decimus Park, Tunbridge Wells Project. They worked together with the structural engineer in the design of the pre-cast units.

Due to the limited space available between our industrial units, they suggested we look at a system of selfsupporting units using a geo-fabric cast into the rear of the units, which is rolled out and backfilled in layers. This system allowed us to use much thinner walls than would normally be expected.

This was the start of an extremely helpful attitude, which continued right through to the agreement of their final account. They worked conscientiously and safely at all times in very difficult conditions. They co-ordinated the crane visits and load deliveries very well thanks to hands-on management at director level, whilst their site operatives were capable and knowledgeable with regard to their specific duties.

A first class service that I will definitely be using again.”
